28/07 Paraguay seizes more than 3,400 kilos of cocaine. Authorities say the cocaine was being stashed in a load of sugar for international shipment. The destination is for the moment unknown.
28/07 Over 4,500 kilos of cocaine were seized in the Rotterdam port in two different fruit shipments. Customs officials found over 1,500 kilograms of cocaine in one shipment and more than 3,000 kilograms in another with a street value of 115 million euros, spread over the two hauls. The former was in a container of pineapples and was en route from Costa Rica to a company in Germany, while the latter was loaded with bananas from Ecuador.
29/07 Romanian authorities have confiscated 503 kilos of cocaine that was discovered in a fruit and vegetable warehouse near Bucharest. According to Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, the drugs reached Romania in a transport of approximately 20 tons of bananas, from Colombia.

30/07 Truck driver that attempted to smuggle 100 kilos of cocaine from Calais to the UK gets sentenced to 11 years in prison. Inside the truck was a total of 94kg of cocaine with a street value of £7.5 million.
01/08 35 wraps of cocaine were recovered from a lady passenger at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos, while attempting to fly to Liberia. The arrest follows that of a man, on the 27th of July, who was arrested during outward clearance of Egypt Airline bound to Turkey in possession of 78grams of cannabis.
