14/10 Customs officers seized a total of 1,182 kilograms of cocaine in two different containers on the same ship at the port of Rotterdam. The drugs had a total street value of 88 million euros, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) said. The first shipment was hidden in a container loaded with clothing, while the second was spread over 27 sports bags in another container. Both containers were on a ship from Guatemala.
17/10 Several packages and a bag with cocaine, totaling 115 kilos, were found hidden in a chain locker of a Capesize bulk carrier GOLDEN CALVUS in Rotterdam, by Customs. The bulk carrier with cargo of coal arrived at Rotterdam on Oct 15, from Colombia.
17/10 Dutch gang leader held in Spain after 3,000 kg cocaine bust. Spanish police rounded up a gang of cocaine smugglers led by a 60-year-old Dutchman. The gang leader was arrested in Mijas, 20 kilometers southwest of Málaga. The gang also included a Swede, Dutch people of Turkish descent and people from Latin America.
