Last week, SEACOP conducted a weeklong mentoring session for 11 trainees from Dominica’s 🇩🇲 Customs and Coast Guards.
This marked the 7th mentoring session for the country’s Joint Maritime Control Unit (JMCU) since its establishment under a previous SEACOP phase in 2016.
Delivered by a trainer from Jamaica’s Defence Forces, the training sought to strengthen the skills and knowledge of the JMCU personnel in their fight against illicit maritime trafficking. The mentoring was supported by Dominica’s MIU which was itself established in 2015.
