On Monday 14 November, SEACOP and Argentina signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the fight against illicit maritime trafficking.
Signed by Minister of Security, Anibal Fernandez, EU Ambassador to Argentina, Amador Sánchez Rico, and SEACOP Project Director Dominique Bucas, the MoU aims to strengthen the existing cooperation between the government of Argentina and the SEACOP project, with the support of the EU .
“Over the years, the results achieved through the collaboration between SEACOP and Argentina have been remarkable. I am delighted to witness the renewal of this successful partnership,” said Project Director Dominique Bucas during the ceremony, adding “through this new phase, we are dedicated to continuing the work begun in the previous phases, thanks to the very strong local political and EU support.”
💡 Two training have already taken place in Buenos Aires since the 5th phase of SEACOP started, tackling maritime intelligence and search for illicit substances.
