In the framework of the SEACOP V project in West Africa, a training course on maritime intelligence began on Monday 27 February in Praia, Cape Verde π¨π».
10 officers from the judicial police, customs, maritime police and coast guard are participating in this activity, which is being conducted by experts from French customs and MAOC-N.
It will help to set up the Cape Verde Maritime Intelligence Unit which will contribute to the fight against illicit maritime traffic.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Dr AndrΓ© Semedo, Director of the Cape Verde Judicial Police Training Centre.
