CRIMJUST, one of the component projects of the Global Illicit Flows Programme of the European Union, in collaboration with the Iberoamerican Network of Anti-drug Prosecutors (Red de Fiscales Antidroga de Iberoamérica) successfully implemented the first two of a series of four training courses on specialised controlled delivery. Designed to tackle transnational drug trafficking the training has been designed to provide and promote the exchange of best practice in the field of controlled deliveries by land, sea or air.
The first course took place online and brought together law enforcement representative and prosecutors from Uruguay, Argentina and Bolivia. The second course, also online, took place between 15-19 June. This second training saw participation from law enforcement representatives and prosecutors from Ecuador, Colombia and Panama. Two more online courses are planned for July 2020 and August 2020.
