Today, SEACOP held the opening ceremony of the advanced ship search training in Lomé, #Togo 🇹🇬.
In the presence of the EU Ambassador to Togo, Joaquín Vilallonga, the ceremony was attended by SEACOP Deputy Regional Coordinator for West Africa, Togo’s Maritime Prefect, the representative of the Minister’s High Advisor for the sea, the Director of Maritime Affairs and the Director of Customs Operations of the autonomous port of Lomé.
The training course, which will benefit 16 participants from Togo’s police, customs and maritime affairs, will provide the agents of the Joint Maritime Control Unit with in-depth skills on vessels rummage to strengthen the country’s fight against illicit maritime traffic.
