- A London-based man has been jailed for 30 years, along with three other men, after police intercepted 40kg of cocaine reported to have a street value of around £11 million. The operation unveiled a drug smuggling network stretching from Mexico to the UK.
- Three alleged smugglers from the Dominican Republic have been arrested, after the US Coast Guard seized an amount of cocaine estimated to be worth US$16 million off the coast of Guayama in Puerto Rico.
