9/06/2020 – Polish authorities seized three tonnes of cocaine that was concealed in barrels of frozen pineapple pulp that had been shipped from Ecuador, the record seizure led to the arrest of three suspects and follows a two tonne seizure made back in December 2019.

10/06/2020 – According to the latest report issued by the European Union Intellectual Property Office and EUROPOL, counterfeiting represents a global criminal profit of around €120 billion. In the European Union, reports indicate an annual loss of €15 billion across 11 European sectors as a result of reduced direct and indirect taxes, as well as social contributions which are not paid by the illegal manufacturers.
10/06/2020 – As illicit trade is affecting the Kenyan economy, Kenya has announced the launch of the National Illicit Trade observatory (NITO) to monitor national illicit trade. The NITO will complement and enhance efforts of the Multi-Agency Team on Illicit Trade established by the President of Kenya.
10/06/2020 – A well-known wildlife trafficker and one other person was arrested in Bertoua, Cameroon, for unlawful possession of ivory tusks by officials of the East Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife following investigations into wildlife trafficking spanning the North and East Regions and the Central African Republic.
