Last week, SEACOP Regional Coordinator for the Caribbean Karen Clarke attended the international seminar titled “The fight against cocaine trafficking by sea in the Caribbean” held in Martinique on 28-30 March 2022.
Hosted by French Customs and MAOC with significant contributions from partner projects including SEACOP, the event witnessed lively exchanges of expertise and good practices between representatives from 26 countries, including all of SEACOP partners.
The event also witnessed the participation of 9 officers from Caribbean SEACOP Maritime Intelligence Units and 2 officers from West Africa.
Through various exchanges, the seminar provided opportunities for Opportunities for the creation of concerted joint transnational maritime operations, among other outputs.
