From 23-27 January 2023, SEACOP conducted a specialised training on the search for illicit substances aboard vessels, targeted at officials from the Navy, Customs, National Police and Port Authority of #Peru 🇵🇪.
Two experts from the Operational Group of Technical Inspections (GOIT) of the Spanish National Police were mobilised by SEACOP, in order to deliver both theoretical and practical training sessions to a total of 15 students.
During five days, the students were acquainted with the methods to carry out a methodological inspection inside a boat, basic use of tools and necessary safety measures.
DEVIDA Perú, the project’s focal point in the country, the EU’s Bilateral Programme for the Fight against Organised Crime, the Embassies of Spain and France all collaborated in this training.
