As part of the training on targeting and searching vessels (without a plan or modified) held in Dakar from 7 to 11 March 2022, the ten agents of the JMCU in Dakar were provided with new individual safety equipment (helmets, overalls, safety shoes, gloves).
This unit, which includes police officers, customs officers and gendarmes, contributed to the seizure of 2 tonnes of cocaine in the port of Dakar last October.
The implementation of phase V of the SEACOP project continues in West Africa. Other teams should soon be equipped in the 5 other countries where the SEACOP project is implemented (Togo, Benin, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Cape Verde).
