Within the framework of the SEACOP action, a training for the Joint Maritime Control Unit (JMCU) of Argentina kicked off on 8 August 2022 in the Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.
The training will span through August 12th, held at the facilities of the Prefectura Naval Argentina. It will target 12 trainees from the Prefectura Naval, Dirección General de Aduanas and Policia Federal.
Two experts from the Spanish National Police belonging to the Operational Group of Technical Inspections -GOIT- will carry out a theoretical-practical training in the search for narcotic substances in vessels.
Specific training in the handling of tools for the search and the necessary security measures to carry out an inspection inside a boat in complete safety.
The opening ceremony was supported by the EU Delegation, the National Director of the Fight against Drug Trafficking of the National Ministry of Security and the Director of Intelligence of the National Prefecture.
