This week, SEACOP kicked off a training in Maritime Intelligence targeted at the Paraguayan authorities fighting against maritime trafficking.
For the next four days, officials from SENAD, Prefectura Naval and the National Police will be trained in obtaining intelligence in the maritime and river contexts.
Two officers from the Colombian Police and Navy have been deployed for this training, while the MIU Chief from Argentina is participating as a guest.
The aim of this theoretical and practical training is to support the Paraguayan authorities in their fight against illicit river trafficking, improving the gathering of intelligence and facilitating international cooperation.
💡 Since the recent signature of its MoU with SEACOP, Paraguay has become the newest beneficiary country of this 5th phase of the EU-funded project.
