SEACOP is pleased to visit its strategic partner MAOC-N in Lisbon today. The Maritime Analysis and Operations Centre (Narcotics) – MAOC (N) welcomed the SEACOP team in its headquarters for a #cooperation visit aimed at reinforcing the successful partnership between the two parties.
Following a warm welcome by MAOC-N Executive Director Sjoerd Top, the team was briefed by analyst Manuel Teixeira, who presented the work conducted by the centre’s officers since its establishment in 2007.
💡MAOC-N was created to support Europe’s fight against drug trafficking in the Atlantic and Mediterranean maritime domain.
The centre’s support to SEACOP’s action has been fundamental since the start of the project 10 years ago.
Tim Mannire, who was the very first director of MAOC-N, also held the position of Project Director of SEACOP phase I back in 2010.
