SEACOP was pleased to welcome Mr Jesper S. Pedersen, Deputy Head of Unit at FPI European Commission to Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday 6 October 2022. 🇹🇹
Despite some heavy weather going on in the region, Mr Pedersen met with Lt Colonel Dexter Metivier, local head of the National Operations Fusion Centre (left) and local focal point and head of the SEACOP JMCU. He also met with Richard Lynch, Deputy Director International Affairs Unit at the Ministry of National Security (right).
During the meeting, Mr Pedersen was briefed on the continuing development of the local Joint Maritime Control Unit. He expressed “his pleasure to see the teams continuously grow” and “his desire to see some of the development experiences and sophistication achieved locally transferred to the other ‘geographies’ of imlementation of SEACOP.”
