18/08/2020 – 600kg of cocaine were seized in Rotterdam. The drugs were hidden in a containerised chemical shipment from Brazil.
19/08/2020 – Brazilian authorities dismantled a large drug trafficking ring during an operation mobilising about 600 officers in 13 regions. During this operation, seven aeroplanes and five helicopters as well as other assets linked to the network were confiscated.
21/07/2020 – the French police seized 65 kg of heroin and arrested four suspects in the course of an investigation to dismantle a drug trafficking ring.
21/08/2020 – 13 tonnes of cannabis resin were seized by the Moroccan authorities in an area next to Casablanca.
22/08/2020 – The US and Colombia have agreed new anti-trafficking drug plan. The plan supports the development of remote and poor areas in Colombia in order to prevent illicit crop cultivation and the development of organised crime related activities.
23/08/2020 – Fiji has joined the UNODC-WCO Container Control Programme with the support of Australia. Fiji is considered as a central hub for sea and air cargo in the Oceania region.
