On Wednesday 15 May 2024, SEACOP -on behalf of Expertise France– and the Regional Maritime University of Ghana signed a memorandum of understanding in Accra, #Ghana.
This marks the officialisation of a valuable partnership, whereby the SEACOP project will support the regional partners in their fight against illicit maritime trafficking. With the RMU as an official partner SEACOP will continue providing further resources to the region’s efforts to combat trafficking at sea in the Gulf of Guinea.

The official signing ceremony was presided by Dr Jethro W. Brooks, Jr, Interim Vice Chancelier of the RMU.
๐ซฑ๐ฝโ๐ซฒ๐ป ‘Collaboration is at the heart of our work with SEACOP as #maritimesecurity faces increasingly complex and well organised criminal groups,’ explained co-signatory SEACOP Project Director Dominique Bucas at the signing ceremony in Accra.
‘By bringing together knowledge, expertise, and resources, our partners will be able to address the challenges of organised crime at sea, more effectively.’
