The training, search of 1st level commercial vessels, started yesterday morning in Praia, Cape Verde
Led by two experts from the Portuguese Judicial Police, it brings together participants from the island of Santiago (Praia) and the island of Sao Vicente (Mindelo).
A total of 16 officers from the judicial police, maritime police, customs, port authority and Cape Verdean coast guard service are participating in this training, which will include a theoretical part and a practical part giving rise to searches. of ships in the port of Praia.
This training is the first organised as part of the 5th phase of the SEACOP project in Cape Verde, a country particularly concerned by illicit trafficking, in particular cocaine trafficking from South America.
